Cashmere is a perfect fabric for colour block clothing, as it’s high-quality wool with great colour retention, and many customers swear by this luxury fabric.
However, not all of our colour block range is made of cashmere. Some are made of cotton or cotton blend, which is lighter, slightly more affordable and easier to care for. Always check the product info if the material is important to you.
Colour block clothing is pretty standard all year round. While the colours might change to suit the palette of your seasonal look, the concept of blocks of colour itself is timeless.
You might choose to steer away from heavy woollen knits in the summer for obvious reasons, but there’s no reason to avoid blocks in any season.
Colour block tops tend to have one dominant colour, so your choice of bottoms will depend on whether you’re going for a uniform head-to-toe hue or are looking to break it up at the hips. It’s good to use any secondary colour blocks to influence the choice of trousers, leggings or jeans, although if there’s a hem of a certain colour, steer away from that precise colour for the bottom half, as it can look disorientating.
